Are you under the impression that the ratpublicans can be influenced? It isn't like he hasn't attempted to do so. They are the ones that stabbed him in the back.
You’re right he can’t influence certain Republicans. But there are a lot that do want change (I am thinking especially of Wisconsin)... so they should organize into some kind of body and with the help of Florida and Texas press for change. They have two years to correct this problem.
