The difference here is that THE GOVEERNMENT met with them and told them what to censor.
How are you missing that point?
Ok, God. Thanks for the lecture.
As I noted earlier, a non response is quite telling.
As Gorka said about last Friday’s feed, deeply underwhelmed.
Think of a little kid cupping his hears and yelling LALALALALALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU. That is what you're dealing with here.
Duuuuhhhhhhhh.... Joe Biden didn’t PERSONALLY make the request. The government representatives (FBI, etc) did.
There is ignorant (normal, just not aware of something), and willfully ignorant (putting fingers in ears going “LA LA LA LA LALA”).
Guess which one you seem to be?
C None of the above.
Hi Pelham that might be your longest post ever
My dad was a big Goldwater guy and anyone looks at the electoral map you can see Goldwater carried the deep south what they used to call the cotton stage whites in the south of always been socially conservative which is kind of a paradox considering legend has it we sprang forward from cavalier culture as opposed to Yankee Puritans along with a very good dose of working class Ulster Scot immigration
We have the yard signs and all that goes with it but there was not the animosity usually today no one took down our side or went crazy the record for the fair number of Democrat voters as well and I believe the Dixie crats ran somebody
I grew up knowing James Eastland and I still know his son in passing socially from weddings and my father was pretty fair friends with Sonny Montgomery
Those kind of people were very socially conservative there’s no question of that in fact they shared similar views to people in this forum now they went along with you to a new deal type crap largely and they were terrified of the black vote particularly in places like the Mississippi Delta were blacks were sometimes 80% of the population and if you look around you today can you honestly say they did not have a reason to be worried
If whites in the south ever vote like whites outside of the south this country is gone forever because it is the extremely high percentage of whites in the south who vote Republican however worthless Republicans actually are that keeps the Democrats from having an insurmountable lock on the electoral majority
My fear is educated whites in the south their children are liberalizing to a certain degree there’s no question of that even if they vote Republican they are still soft on the hot topics like of course race and sexuality
I’m old I’m out of vouchers I’m just relaying what I observe and I also agree that the blue states will get bluer as more people move to red states in the south which is only going to add more people to already reliable red states it doesn’t really shift the electoral map it just more or less further salt solidifies it I hope this makes sense
I have argued here for 22 years with Yankees who claim southern Democrats were raging liberals which is just stupid
If you look around today there are very few white Democrats on the south except for some urban politicians in metro areas like Nashville but they don’t have to be Democrats they can just be Republican establishment who honestly don’t vote any different then scoop Jackson or Sam nunn did
I agree all the way about Pelham’s post. I was wonderful.
Your post was great, too, Wardaddy.
I’m descended from Cavalier stock, too (and a few wayward Puritans — the history of North Carolina shows there were more wayward Puritans than I was taught in school, and had to learn about it on my own). The Cavaliers were good, solid Anglicans for the most part (who tended to turn Baptist after fighting in the Revolutionary War, as my ancestors did), and socially conservative as you correctly pointed out.
I share your fears about younger generations going all lib, and the movement out of blue states into red states. :(
What you wrote about Yankees thinking Southern Democrats were raging liberals got me laughing. I’ve been there, done that, got the tee shirt, too. The old-time Southern Democrats were more like Zell Miller. It’s no wonder he finally had to switch parties.
Very astute post, sir. I hope you and your family are well. I heard on the car radio this morning that Knoxville is #2 in the country for flu, behind #1 El Paso, and Tennessee is #2 among states (don’t remember #1). So far, I’ve dodged the flu bug, and pray you and yours do the same.
“Hi Pelham that might be your longest post ever”
Well...actually it was Ronald Reagan’s post, mostly. But it definitely is the longest thing that I’ve ever posted.
I hesitated to post the text of The Speech since it is so long.. then figured what the hell, people who will never click on a link might find it interesting.
Thanks. I was going to ask Joesbucks what specific instances of Trump requesting people kicked off Twitter occurred, but I don’t like him so far. It was too much work to type in NBC link, so I appreciate your elucidation. I agree: Trump was likely asking for Twitter TDS lies to be removed. Nowadays, Musk’s Twitter could add a note saying this tweet is all hyperbole.
Was this after Musk bought Twitter?
The FBI were actively lying to get rid of Trump, i.e. Russiagate. So, you think Trump should’ve fired entire FBI when he was first elected? Come to think of it, that would’ve been a spectacular move.
For those employed at will, why not?
Commenting, so I can read your article links later.
NY Post article had no nude photos of Hunter. Their story on Hunter’s laptop would’ve caused Biden to lose. The spiel about Hunter’s nude and sex photos is a Biden Regime narrative.
Why are there so many Demonicrats in Atlanta?
I don’t think so. While Hunter energizes conservatives, I don’t sense it hits home with the general population.
Besides, if the fix was in on the election as trump claims, the dials would have been adjusted to still get a Biden win.
