According to Bette Midler, undocumented aliens are o.k. as long as they’re not white.
In actual history, the Pilgrims landed at an uninhabited place. And, over the next several decades, bought and otherwise negotiated land from the tribes of the region. Eventually there were wars (aren’t there always), but these were complicated things often involving alliances of whites and Indians against other alliances of whites and Indians.
The idea that Indians lived idyllic, peaceful lives, in harmony with nature, not experiencing disease, famine or other hardship before the white man came, is not simply historically incorrect, it is hateful, racist and offensive.
As for what was eaten, the records we have is that the Pilgrims brought seal, lobster and fowl, possibly including turkey, but maybe not; and, that the Wampanoag brought deer.
As this was a harvest festival, local produce would be most appropriate; and, we Americans would naturally favor turkey, corn (then called American corn, as opposed to English corn meaning wheat), and pumpkin as these are native to this continent. If not at the first Thanksgiving, then as the tradition caught on, with patriotic and religious undertones.

Perhaps if they had spent their 20,000 years on the continent developing technology past fire and constantly warring each other with sticks and rocks and instead created some kind of federation of tribes, they may have been able to repel the invaders

Most linguists and geneticists believe there were at least 4 waves of Asians that populated the Americas, with at least the second and third displacing the previous ones, with the Dene, for example, being forced into the desert Southwest. These stone-age people brought slavery, warfare, cannibalism, and mass extinction of the megafauna to the Americas.

I am happy to know that every day for that POS is a day closer to her demise.
Yeah but I just want to know that she is dying a slow, lingering, painful death....One that is torturous and agonizing, and that her pain and anguish become total and all-encompassing, and that the every fiber of her being screams out, yearning for death, but instead she remains frustrated, on the border of life and death itself, trapped in a state of non-being, scorned by all and hated by most.

Thank you before I had to point that out. Migration and conquests have been the way of the World since cave days. Even Hawaiians came from other Pacific islands to colonized those islands. There are very few indigenous people that actually originated out of nowhere. Some say Africa is the only locale where human beings, and not other humunoids originated from. Okay, if true.
