Because the court case was scheduled to be decided in June. What else can they do? “We think this will affect voters too much, we’ll release our ruling in December”?

Abortion seems to have trumped (no pun intended) every issue in the minds of the Democrats, high taxes, crime, inflation, they will put up all of them, and vote accordingly, as long as abortion is legal.

They hear a message that if they are raped or carrying a non viable fetus that could make them sick or kill them they have no choice in the matter and view being pro choice as self defense even if that isn’t the truth
My wife has counseled, supported and otherwise worked to help women make better decisions very successfully (as a citizen and believer not as a professional) and she said the day Donna was announced it was going to have massive blowback
While we are pro-life in almost all circumstances we have enough self awareness to understand that some very basic accommodations being enshrined clearly in the law would turn those arguments around for the most part
Abortion is not an “issue”. It is a hellish abomination. It will be punished and it is also it’s own punishment. It is spiritual, marital, cultural and economic suicide. It is a plunge toward extinction.
It’s worse than that. Here in Michigan it also means that kids can go on puberty blockers WIHTOUT consent OR KNOWLEDGE of their parents....and it is baked into the State Constitution.
I hate to have to say it, but last night showed abortion is popular in this country. For far too many, it’s THE issue.
One way or another, this country will pay a price for this great sin.
