I can imagine 10 Play Nice RINO Republicans refusing to investigate the cesspits at Langley, Fort Meade and the West Wing.

You don't need 10, you only need one and his name is Milquetoast McCarthy. He's already said he's not going to allow investigations.

It was a red mirage. Trump is done. He delivered on the primaries but lost to corruption and fraud. His indictment is just around the corner.

100% right. He’s going to have his hands full, and nose bloodied.

Agreed. Can you honestly tell me what the Republican message was? As best I can fathom it was "Biden sucks, inflation is bad, and if you elect us, inflation will magically go away, and Biden will stop sucking or something.

That's not much of a message or a plan, certainly nothing like the Contract with America in 1994 or even the Tea Party in 2010. I think many Republicans honestly thought just being "not Biden" was enough and they didn't need anything else.

You should not give up hope until all the votes are actually counted. I was once a champion athlete. The reason that I won so many races during my years of competition is largely because I never gave up until the race was actually over.

Where my wife and I live in Washington the authorities are projecting that the voter turnout this year will be far lower than 2020 and substantially lower than in 2018. I am not sure that I am buying that; their prediction could be way off.

Every vote in Washington is either mailed in or left at an unattended drop box location. This does make fraud inevitable here. However, most people I know including my wife and I have waited until the last couple of days to turn in our votes to hopefully make it more difficult for the Democrats to cheat. When I got a call two weeks ago from a Republican volunteer reminding us to vote, she confirmed that many people had told her and others that they were not sending in or dropping off their ballots until the last day or two for the same reason.

The race was declared a victory for Murray last night with supposedly 57% of the vote in. This is reported as 980,199 for Murray and 738,618 for Smiley. This is a total of 1,718,817 votes. This means that if the authorities are correct about the expected turnout that approximately an additional 1,270,000 votes to still are left to be counted. Smiley has a 241,581 vote deficit to make up. This sounds bad, but If she gets just 60% of the 1,270,000 votes still to be counted that comes up to 254,000 votes more than Murray and over 12,000 more votes than she needs to win. If there are more votes outstanding than expected Tiffany Smiley could win by a much larger margin.

The outstanding votes are from people who waited until the last days to vote and also people from rural counties that tend to be around 75% Republican in this state. The Democrats tend to vote early and often. Tiffany Smiley has been counted out before she should have been. There is a very good chance that this could still go her way. This same type of scenario could easily play out in other races across the country as well.

I watched Kari Lake make a speech this evening... she is not giving up because of the same type of situation in Arizona. The late arriving and counted ballots break decisively for Republicans. I was once a champion athlete. The reason that I won so many races during my years of competition is largely because I never gave up until the race was actually over. DownInFlames don't be foolishly pessimistic until this thing is actually over. As far as your anti-Trump comments... It is not likely that any of the crap the Democrats are pushing will hurt him in the end. Your pessimistic predictions make you sound like an unlikeable loser. You and Lindsay Graham appear to be cut from the same cloth.

Take a victory lap, Lindsey. You did that. You did what you could to bring out the pro-abortion voters.

That’s my take (and election integrity issues). They don’t get it because they are not very bright. Dumbed down and indoctrinated by public schools. BTW: Is it constitutional to make students register to vote?

Although the results are disappointing, it may work out better this way. Clinton and Obama both got destroyed in their first midterms but were able to bounce back. Carter actually did OK in 78, then got destroyed in 80. Maybe the wave needs more time to build.
