I wonder if it was a fake coup trap set up to further consolidate Xi’s power.
Gordon Chang has been wrong about China for 20+ years.
Jennifer Zeng talks about the rumors surrounding Xi in this video posted last night. She made a good point that if there was a successful coup, the coup plotters wouldn’t waste any time announcing they’ve seized power.
Something seems to be up with Xi not making any recent public appearances, but given the clampdown on media in China it might take awhile for news of what really happened (or not) to leak.

When then, Vice Chairman of the CCP Lin Biao attempted a coup on Mao Zhe Dong in September 13, 1971 ( and died in a plane crash when his plot was discovered and he tried to escape ), how long did the news leak out of the country before the world knew about it?

Exactly. China is in a lot of trouble- the economy is close to shambles, the infrastructure is crumbling and the military is uber corrupt.
Great article in the Epoch Times about it a few months ago. As they said- everyone showers the Chicom military with praise but promotions are bought in the military and they’ve not been in a war for more than half a century.
Placing a dictator under house arrest is risky business. When he is rekeased he may just go on a revenge binge with all the bloody consequences.

Neither China nor Russia are out to conquer the USA . Why would they want to ? But Neocons in USA who believe in hegemonism / globalism see these 2 powers as a huge obstacle to what they want to achieve .
