Color me skeptical. I’m not getting the sense that McCarthy’s is committ4ed to defunding anything. Shrinking the bloated, freedom destroying bureaucracy should be Job #1 IMO. If the R’s can’t do that the Dems and their massive administrative state will smother the country.

It all depends on how effective they are at stuffing boxes a la 2000 Mules and how much effort their techs put into the algorithm in the computer voting terminals. They got clean away with all sorts of vote fraud two years ago with no blowback from the courts or the Republicans and bragged about it after signaling that they were going to do it a month before the election. Why would they not go all in for this one? Sweeping in November would give them the total control and all subsequent elections would be mere formalities with no actual effect.
