It’s not THIS weekend. It’s July 9th. The Hill can’t do basic reporting.

Exactly! Better article here:

Sue was really disappointed when I told I wouldn’t go on an Alaska vacation. I called it the elephant graveyard of vacations. I would go to attend the Trump rally though. =)

We went to Alaska a few years ago to attend my stepson's wedding. Kind of an quirky place, but beautiful, too.

Managed to get to Sarah Palin's house in Wasilla, LOL. Saw it from only the outside, of course. Interesting area, but I couldn't even remotely imagine living there.

If you hike just about anywhere in Alaska, you must take bear spray with you -- to guard against the giant (sometimes deadly) brown bears, not the smaller, usually tame black bears like we have in Connecticut.

A black bear (just like the ones we see here in CT) nearly walked through the sliding glass doors into the lobby of our hotel at a ski resort 40 miles outside of Anchorage. Moose are everywhere. Alaskans surf the famous Alaskan Bore Tide at Turnagain Arm and a few other areas. In the summer, the sun pretty much never really sets. You can keep on drinking, and have no idea what time it is, lol. It's an interesting place.

We actually would like to return to Alaska at some point to see it more in depth as real tourists. We unfortunately didn't spend a lot of time there. Only about 6-7 days. Three of those days we were involved in pre-wedding and wedding activities.
