"US Soldier with pictures of his girlfriend, Cu Chi base camp, Vietnam 1968"
My brother was stationed at Cu Chi with the 25th Infantry Division from April 1966-April 1967. He'd originally been sent from Fort Dix to Fairbanks, Alaska. It was during that time that they re-activated the 25th Division. From Alaska, he went to Hawaii for jungle training, then off to Vietnam.

Wonderful photos. I found the 16-year-old German crying because they lost the war extremely touching. . Briti solder with his pigeon is a real study in love.
And Stalin looks like he’s taking a dump

As I remember there was a Star Trek episode featuring Joan Crowford. She was a lovely lady. Captain Kirk had to stop Dr. McCoy from preventing her from being killed.

The “Edith Keeler Must Die!” episode. Written by Harlan Ellison, iirc. Famous science fiction writer.
Yeah I was wondering about Adam’s oil lamp myself. Some kind of wick lamp, but where’s the fount?

A color photo of a US president born BEFORE the American revolution. Amazing.

Thanks. Many good pics, although you should never forget the editor’s biases and wishful thinking.

The one of John Quincy Adams is just incredibleIt sure is. I have been trying to figure out if his shoes are laced or buckled.

Great photo of the Vietnam vet with photos on his helmet. Ought to be possible to identify him (and his girl!).
