Interesting from the ruling-—compares the right to bear arms to McDonald and Heller.

(1) It is undisputed that petitioners Koch and Nash—two ordinary, law-abiding, adult citizens—are part of “the people” whom the
Second Amendment protects. See Heller, 554 U. S., at 580. And no
party disputes that handguns are weapons “in common use” today for
self-defense. See id., at 627. The Court has little difficulty concluding
also that the plain text of the Second Amendment protects Koch’s and
Nash’s proposed course of conduct—carrying handguns publicly for
self-defense. Nothing in the Second Amendment’s text draws a
home/public distinction with respect to the right to keep and bear
arms, and the definition of “bear” naturally encompasses public carry.
Moreover, the Second Amendment guarantees an “individual right to
possess and carry weapons in case of confrontation,” id., at 592, and
confrontation can surely take place outside the home. Pp. 23–27

The law has not kept the people of New York safe; it is more dangerous than some third-world countries.

The law's failure should be enough to convince a liberal judge to throw the thing out without considering the constitutional merits of the argument (they never want to consider constitutional arguments anyway).

Long ago, I heard of a blue city (I forget which) where open carry became legal, due to some court decision. So the police would arrest people who openly carried guns, not for violating gun laws, but for "disturbing the peace." (Because some people were traumatized by seeing other people carrying guns.)

I wonder what sort of workarounds the Left will come up with to bypass this ruling. You just know they have dozens of sleazy legal tricks up their sleeves.

What strikes me the most from the media and the Democrat responses is once again their inability to read and comprehend and then state the facts.

Instead we get hyperbole, lies, scare tactics i.e. this has unleased a wild west atmosphere and each dispute will be another shootout at the O.K. Corral.

We need to start with honestly, until we have that this country is going to continue to be a mess. And the dishonestly is most pronounced from the media/Dems.
