Just an opinion, the predictions of a big November red wave are overblown. The communist/socialist agenda has close to 50% support from the illiterate American electorate. We should take the house, but taking the senate, with some lackluster candidates will be a monumental task.

I’ve always known the GOP candidate, Brian Langley, to be a conservative. His radio ads sure got that point across.

If he is “pro-choice” that is news to me.

The democrats were more motivated to vote in this election and had plenty of in-state and out of state money to spend.

We have a part tome legislature, which doesn’t meet again until December, after the November election.

If gas gets above $6 and stays there the GOP backs into a majority in the Senate. They don’t deserve it....

The GOP will probably run someone else in November.

The dem candidate ran ads on the Food Channel and God knows where else.

As Jesse Unruh said in California many years ago, “Money is the mother’s milk of politics.”

Not the Second Congressional District.....strong Trump country and very pro Second Amendment.

Trump carried this district twice in 2016 and 2020....easily.

And yet a Rat Party hack “represents” that district. Maine,as a whole,is every bit as depraved as Massachusetts,Vermont,Kalifornia,Maryland...

Again, the Second Congressional District constitutes 80% of the state. Strong Trump Country. He and members of his family spent a lot of time here in 2016 and 2020.

The First district in southeast Maine is moonbat country. I’ve heard people call it “North Massachusetts.” That’s the depraved area.

The coastal areas in CD 2 are more liberal than the interior, but it is strong Second Amendment country.

In 2016 Michael Bloomturd sponsored a ballot initiative which would have banned private sales of firearms in Maine.

The police chiefs were in favor, and appeared in TV ads promoting it, in uniform.

The elected sheriffs ran their own ads, in uniform, opposed to Bloomturd’s plans.

The people of Maine told Bloomturd to screw at the ballot box, and we still have private sales of firearms in Maine.

The AR-15 and other “scary looking” semi-automatic firearms are very popular here.

Also, we elected Paul LePage twice....in November 2010 and again in 2014. Then, he was term-limited.

He is running again this year.

I wouldn’t read too much into this special election in a small district within the larger congressional district.

So, let’s say Maine votes to join Canada, what have we lost?

A lot of trees. Maine has more trees than the other states combined - at least it seems that way when you drive through it.

Deep blue state?

Tell it to the people in the second congressional district, which is 80% of Maine and 27,000 square miles in size, making it the largest CD in size east of the Mississippi.

The GOP incumbent candidate for Congress lost in 2018 because of Rank Choice Voting, even though he received 2,200 MORE votes.

He, Bruce Poliquin, is running again this year.

Maine elected the most conservative governor in the country, Paul LePage, in 2010 and 2014. He couldn’t run in 2018 because of term limits but is running again this year.

CD 2 is strong Trump country.....he won this district in 2016 and 2020 for one electoral vote each time.

We also have Constitutional Carry and Open Carry.

Southeast Maine...20% of the state....is moonbat country.

Maine WAS deep blue, is now purple and parts of it are trending red.

Sorry but, it’s people(votes) that are counted not square miles.

That’s right. I don’t think much has been done to remedy the situation in any state.

The rat guy, Jared Golden, won in 2018 because of that damn rank choice voting, even though the GOP guy received 2,200 more votes.

There were two “ringers” on the ballot that year.

Dem. Jared Golden, an Afghan war vet, ran in 2018 and fooled many people, but still received fewer votes than the GOP guy.

OK...you’re talking about the state’s land area.I’m talking about it’s population.

It’s a rural district and that’s what got conservative Paul LePage elected in 2010 and 2014. His support in the inland areas of the district were overwhelming.

We’ll see what happens in November.

My point was the percentage of voters in the First Congressional district and much more liberal than the voters in the more rural second district.

CD 1 has Chellie Pingree as their congressional representative. She is a moonbat’s monnbat.

Her ex-husband is a hedge fund manager, so she received a boatload of money in the divorce.

A former Navy SEAL is running as a Republican against her this Fall.

If that district goes GOP, it will be an astounding night for the Republicans. But I wouldn’t hold my breath in regards to CD 1.

I’m an American, NOT a Canadian.

Maine would be a war zone if anyone suggested joining the likes of Canada.

Maine, per capita, has more veterans than any other state.

Lots of flag wavers in CD 2. I’m one of them.

“What have we lost?” One of the most pro Trump areas....CD 2....and one of the strongest Second Amendment areas of the country.
