I vacationed in Hawaii 25-30 years ago and, for a state that heavily relied on tourism, they did not seem to be the most friendly state. Maybe they had too many tourists, or maybe it has changed, but that was my perception then.

Whites=(D)=left wing trash with too much education (R)=military veterans, small business owners (15%)
Japanese=NY Jews (30%)
Filipinos=Mexicans (20%)
Chinese=Dutch (5%)
Portuguese=Polacks (5%)
Other Asians=Generic 3rd world labor (15%)
Hawaiians=American Indians/Confederate Southerners (10%)
The Japs tend to vote as a block (like NY jews), so they control the government.
