Chadason says Sussmann was seeking an audience with the CIA and seemed “frustrated” in meeting. Defense suggesting that Sussmann felt no one was listening. Notes that by the time of this meeting 2016 election was over.

Defense gets Chadason to acknowledge that Sussmann didn’t try to hide that he was Democrat and had done work for DNC. Chadason later mentioned that in email to CIA saying Sussmann was a “partisan lawyer” so he wasn’t sure what the “real story is here.”
Chadason is off the stand. More on his testimony later because right now, “Kevin P” another retired CIA officer taking the stand. He retired after 32 years, Met with Sussmann in Feb. 9, 2017, at CIA HQ.
At the CIA, Steve M. And Kevin P. met with Sussmann. Steve is an agency lawyer.
They were conducting meeting to accept or listen to what info Sussmann had. In the meeting, Sussmann said he wasn’t representing a client, according to Kevin.

Kevin testifies that in CIA meeting Sussmann said he wasn’t representing a client. Sussmann mentioned that his firm repped DNC and Clinton campaign, but made it clear that they were not involved.

Kevin said Sussmann told them about the Alfa Bank server info and another technical security threat. Kevin took notes. It’s his normal practice

We are no seeing a heavily redacted email from 2/9/17. From Steve to Kevin. That’s the same date as the meeting with Sussmann who provided thumb drives and documents.

The document says that Sussmann had previously reachd out toe CIA’s GC Caroline Krass in Dec. 2016.
According to the document, “Sussman advised that he was not representing a particular client...He was up front in disclosing that his law firm was active in supporting democratic causes.”
Unlike the meeting with Jim Baker, CIA drafted a detailed account of its meeting with Sussmann in 2017 that’s being read to the jury now.
CIA memo mentions that Sussmann previously had interactions with FBI and Baker on a “similar but unrelated matter.”

Prosecutor notes that initial version of CIA memo mentioned that Sussmann had “clients who preferred to remain anonymous.” Kevin says he edited memo to take out that reference because Sussmann “did not refer to them as clients in the meeting.”
“That brings us to the conclusion of a very long and productive week,” Judge Cooper says. “Have a great weekend.”
