I would imagine Chicago still manage to attract a lot of people from towns like Gary.
RE: One city in Florida and three in Texas. I hope they stay red
All big cities are blue. People moving to Florida and Texas are looking for a different kind of vibe. Liberals move to Colorado or New Mexico. Alberta's Child once pointed to a CNN poll indicating that non-native Texans voted GOP at a higher rate than native Texans. I suspect Georgia (31% black) is attracting large numbers of blacks, and people who want to be around large numbers of blacks, which is why non-native Georgians tend to vote at a higher rate for Democrats:
Abrams | Kemp | No Answer | |

Born in Georgia46% | 47% | 53% | N/A |
Moved to Georgia54% | 53% | 46% | 1% |
Yeah, I take the smaller state highways if I have the time.
Denver and Chicongo?
If I were moving I would go to San Diego. I might go to the beach today even though it is barely beach weather (72 degrees but sunny).
Most all are warmer climate states - could give an idea of the climate illegals and others are acustomed to so they prefer warmer climates.
Criminals and gang members.
Shhhhh…….
Would be interesting to compare against professional movers.
“huge apt complexes” - for all the illegals!!
Yes. A lot of the Californians who colonized other states before were indeed Leftists. The latest wave of escapees from California have mostly been Conservatives getting the hell out. A lot of people have missed that fact.
Something similar though not as pronounced has been happening with refugees from the Northeast. A lot of it is people who can’t stand it and do not want to bring the sickness of Leftism with them. That’s part of the reason why Florida has been turning more Red.
That’s where the illegals are going.
Tennessee, especially Nashville is getting inundated with transfers. Can hardly meet anyone who is a native Tennesseens nowadays.
Why would anyone move to Chicago?
Like I needed another reason to stay away from Houston and Austin...
I’ve always considered Houston part of Louisiana, anyway...
In the late 60’s I lived in Arlington. It was a 20 min drive through the country to get to Ft Worth.
Yeah, Chicago is a shocker.
Considering the weather, the crime, and the lack of either mountains or a beach, there is only one logical conclusion. These are Cubs fans. Coming home to 1060 West Addison.
I make the time. Retired from TxDOT in 2015, haven’t been on IH35 in 7 years.
I don’t see any TN cities listed. Here in eastern TN we’re being inundated with newcomers. New homes were built across the street from us and residents have been moving in. Good news is that they’re staunch conservatives from CA and OH.
