they are meeting today. I think that this is rather interesting

The potential turnabout on Twitter’s part comes after Mr. Musk met privately Friday with several shareholders of the company to extol the virtues of his proposal while repeating that the board has a “yes-or-no” decision to make, according to people familiar with the matter. He also pledged to solve the free-speech issues he sees as plaguing the platform and the country more broadly, whether his bid succeeds or not, they said.

I don't know what to think of Musk, trying to buy Twitter.

My gut tells me, that the Twitter higher bees, and get the best deal they can, and be like BLM and "Take the Money and Run".

Elon Musk says -— “When you can’t make them see the light, make them feel the heat.”

(Actually Ronald Reagan said this)

Twits should take the money and run.

I think with Trump’s Truth Social now delivering, the Twitter shareholders and Board are scared shirtless. I’ll bet Musk is re-thinking things, too.

I like Musk’s takeover. Twitter actually banned Trump’s account. Musk would not.

My cat Daisy has a Twitter account @catsoftwitter. She’s over there for about 15 minutes a day catching up with her kitty friends. Her fave is Putin, a black cat whose dad works on the oil pipeline through Russia. Clever, funny fellow. So, we always know where Putin is and what he’s doing. Back in England now eating fish (and chips).

Daisy and Elon follow each other on Twitter.

Time to line up the golden parachutes for the board members.

Biff if you don’t get this then ponder

If libertarian musk wins it’s a game changer for globalist control over our info dissemination

This is crucial

It’ll grant us access to share and discuss ideas massively

Something we’ve lost

Hopefully a start

Musk tweeted this morning...’moving on...’

then an hour or two later came out and said the comment had to do with moving on from poking at Gates for shorting Tesla while being pro climate change.

I’m not so sure there wasn’t a double meaning...

If Musk negotiates with the left, if he gives in a tiny bit, his $43 Billion is all for nothing. The left defines any opinion they disagree with as hate speech. Musk has to set his standards, and stick with it.

something he better figure out quick is, if he wins the twit war, why wouldn’t AWS/Google cancel twit just like they did to Parler and several other entities that were pro free speech? I think EM is in a no win situation with this purchase

I was really excited about Musk’s takeover of Twitter, but two things happened and now I have pause.

One thing is: President Trump’s Truth Social opened and it appears to be a huge success.

The other think is: Why would Twitter suddenly become more acceptable to the deal, which is troubling.

Is Twitter looking as though it is on the Right Side of the Bell Curve.

Maybe Musk doesn’t have to buy it...it will self-collapse.

That is interesting. While many think corporate boards make all the calls and set the tone, they really are not involved in the day-to-day operations. That they favor the same liberal causes and despise conservative “disinformation” sources just comes from the fact that they’re all members of the same elite ruling class that shares those views.

Corporate board members are duty bound to act in the best interest of the shareholders and maximize the company’s profits. An officer receives protection under limited liability only when acting on behalf of the corporation. As soon as he or she breaches their duties and places their own interests ahead of corporate duties, they open themselves up to liability. Twitter’s board are wealthy people who do not want that, and they know their actions will be closely scrutinized.

Here is what we do know. No one knows what Twitter would be like after a takeover. Why does everyone think he's going to micro-manage the platform?

Right now social media is scourge of the earth.

If Musk doesn’t do a Conan the Barbarian on the twitter a-hole who suspended me, I’ll be severely disappointed. On day one, I hope he declares a general amnesty and frees me and Donald Trump from twitter jail.

ps

I didn’t do nothing to get suspended for life, twice.

Maybe. Maybe not.

Twitter is expected to weigh in on the bid when it reports first-quarter earnings Thursday, if not sooner, the people said. Twitter’s response won’t necessarily be black-and-white, and could leave the door open for inviting other bidders or negotiating with Mr. Musk on terms other than price.

I have a feeling the Twit board has had a few days to read their shareholders’ emails.
