Growing up in suburban Boston in the 50s and 60s there literally wasn't a single country music station on the radio.But a few crossover songs were played on Boston radio.Among my favorites is Don't It Make You Wanna Go Home by Joe South.

My 10 year old Grandson was hit in the head with a baseball.Our 2 yr old Grandson is here so it’s impossible to post.He is at the hospital and I will keep you updated.

This song has been done by almost everybody, it is a great song. This version is from the Chieftans, thus has an Irish edge to it. But the similarities in 'Country' and 'Irish' have deep roots.

Jimmie Dale Gilmore, is part of the 'Lubbock' sound in country music that I favor. Lot's of great ones in that group: Willie, Waylon being the two best known, but then there is a slew of others: Jerry Jeff Walker, Butch Hancock, Guy Clark, Joe Ely, Rober Earl Keen just to name a few.
