From my friends who are using the VA they tell me they had to get evaluated at least 3 times before they had a VA rating granted. In my opinion they want to make sure you’re not scamming the system.
why are we forced to tolerate blatant anti-American groups taking over our govt every once in a while??

Can’t use the VA for free. I can use it, but it costs the same to see a doctor whose medical degree was issued in thexUS. My last PA wore a hijab. It was like a slap in the face. Everyone knows islam is incompatible with the Constitution.

I know very few retirees who go through the VA Health System.
They usually choose Tricare and then go to Tricare for life when they reach Medicare age.
Normally people who do not retire from the military and have some causative disability go thru the VA for some of their stuff unless they’re situated financially in a better place, a lot of those people who leave the forces aren’t in a better place and they need some help which is one if the reasons why the VA exist.

True again, but I always had commercial insurance. Now that I've retired and moved to Thailand, I am on commercial insurance from my wife. I suppose that if I needed medical care when I was in the States, I'd use Tricare now, but that would be the only reason (Tricare overseas, unless you are in an area with military, is cash first then maybe they reimburse).

True in most cases. Except, if one is rated 100% or deemed unemployable from a service-related medical condition, the later is my situation. Even my dependents can use certain VA facilities. And one is located 90 miles from us that do. Along with that, the dependents are enrolled in ChampVa to use private local docs at 75-25% coverage.

I feel the same way. I have been retired Army for 25 years with 30 years service. I have used the VA for all of my healthcare requirements since then. I have moved a few times and changed VA service providers in different states. I have nothing but praise for all those at the VA that have treated me. When they thank me for my service I always thank them for theirs. (They serve us) Maybe I was just lucky? Doubt it and I doubt the article.
I have been using the VA health care system for20 years,year and a half ago had Quadruple bypass open heart surgery at the VA,care was exemplary,have absolutely no problems with their care.
Now senile Joe is going to do to that what he has done to the entire country,turn it into a disaster
