Was Jeffrey Epstein an outlier, or the tip of the iceberg? I suspect the latter. The left is pushing pan-sexuality even on the very young. Look at the entertainment they promote - twerking, simulated sex acts, gay gay gay - you think it all stays in the realm of fantasy?

I don’t know how Roger Stone would know one way or the other.

Very funny.

I absolutely believe him.

I do not think that the Teddy Kennedy “waitress sandwich” was a two senator, one time, one off.

That may be true. But then again, 10-15 years ago, who would have swallowed Epstein’s Island?

I simply don’t think there are any levels of debauchery or corruption that I don’t think are beyond the depth elected officials will descend to.

Again, I do not doubt debauchery in Washington. But Cawthorn's story not only is not worthy of belief, but is an implicit accusation that every single other Republican member of Congress has been approached in the same way, but has said nothing. If I was them I'd be pissed too.

Having conservative political beliefs does not necessarily make you either intelligent, or a person of virtue.

Cawthorn is a clown.

"...Having conservative political beliefs does not necessarily make you either intelligent, or a person of virtue..."

Having conservative beliefs (perhaps a different thing than "conservative political beliefs") de facto makes someone more intelligent than their Leftist political opponents, but you are correct in that it does not make them a "person of virtue".

No, it really doesn't. There are plenty of very smart people on the left, and some stupid people on the right. It may suggest that a person is wiser, but that isn't the same as being more intelligent.

You are correct on that point, and I make it all the time, so that is a mistake on my part.

It makes them de facto wiser then, if they have truly conservative beliefs and not just “conservative political beliefs”.

The only reason I'm making the issue about Cawthorn is that I think too many conservatives reflectively defend anything another conservative says or does, simply because they happen to be a conservative. And I think we lose our edge if we forget about thinking clearly simply because we happen to "like" someone. It also can lead us into situations where we end up defending the very things we often criticize.

Cawthorn looks like an idiot on this because it is so easy to "bust" him. Simply ask him to name names, and when he doesn't, he looks like he just made it up because he thought the accusation alone would appeal to his constituency.

I hear what you’re saying but this is how it is in the real world.

The Democrats kick our asses because they circle the wagons no matter how unpopular a particular politician may be.

We may not like it, but if we are to stand up to them we have to be willing to accept some flaws in our candidates, and not be so quick to throw them under the bus.

I don’t have a problem with that viewpoint, not in the least.

I am simply fed up with this government and media at all levels from top to bottom.

Stuff like this may be a red herring-nothingburger-stupidity, but the simple fact that is is not so far out of scale that we can’t throw it in the trash immediately is indicative of a wider and deeper rot.

I am sick of having to parse every single damned piece of information that comes my way. EVERYTHING. I have reached the point where I am willing to take the chance of throwing out the baby with the bathwater.

I am sick to death of it. And it is making me, day to day, boiling mad.

I have spent my adult life trying to look at issues, study them, view the intricacies, on top of all the other things I have to do to make an intelligent decision that is in line with my core conservative values I try to live my life by, working 60 hour weeks for 30 years, managing a home, all that, then to have my vote totally negated, not by some douchebag brainless leftist college student anymore (which would be bad enough) but by a G-Damn copied paper ballot on a one cent sheet of copy paper.

So yes. I am pissed about this. And this is just the skim of oil on top of an ocean of this sewage that used to be the country I love.

So,,

You believe they happen

But no one gets invited ?

Spontaneous Generated orgies ?

Telepathic participation notices ?

So if orgies are totally believable
Why isn’t this guy believable ?

Let me guess , Campbell’s chin says so.

Just to be clear, I completely appreciate reasoned discourse, which is what you are doing.

I just get angrier each day that there is so little of it that it now looks like an anomaly, even in conservative circles.

What bugs me the most about the stolen election is that so many of our conservative pundits concentrate on so many other things. Sometimes it is the inflation, sometimes the border crisis, mandates etc. I want ALL of them to concentrate on one thing only—11/03/20! If it wasn’t for that steal we wouldn’t have the rest of this crap.
Lets get some of these states decertified. If it ends up there aren’t enough electoral votes for anyone then lets start over again. Now. Not 2024.
