And my understanding is that it’s not like Russia even controls the red areas. Russians are on the roads in those areas. But they don’t control them.
I’d continue an offensive against the Russian troops until there are clear signs they are withdrawing in all areas not just Kyev.
And given that the Russians shelled civilians trying to leave cities after safe corridors were negotiated, I wouldn’t be terribly upset if Ukraine shelled the Russians as they were leaving.
It might not be the high road, but it would be fair play.

As long as there is no truce, any Russian military, air, or naval unit is fair game, regardless of the direction it is moving.

Ukrainian forces often attack them there.
There is not a really clear front line like in WWI/WWII.
