How many Russian spies do we have in our State Department?
gru is military fsb is not
I did mention them on at least one other thread.
Its like they’ve been ghosted somehow. All the military intel mentioned has always (in the articles I’ve read) been attributed to the FSB, which has always been internal and political intel like the FBI.
There's a reason for that. The GRU are a serious intelligence agency. They make it a point to be like a ghost. The KGB/FSB trades on a fearsome reputation, but that means a reputation. The GRU only EVER had a few defectors, and they were lower level than many of the KGB defectors. Stanislav Lunev, the last one in 1992, only revealed KGB secrets, as far as I know. The KGB opened their filed in the 1990s, and Western researchers, went through them. The GRU never did that.
