I was assuming at least a few people who read FR would be interested in some facts about a current event.

* German nationalism
* Anti-Semitism

Don’t mind me, I’m in a mood. There are no Good Guys in this conflict. Sorry for the dead people, civilians and others, but in an unrelated story that gets no attention, there are starving people in the world somewhere, and don’t forget women, children, and the environment.
Elections have consequences, How ever the votes got counted. Wear your masks, sheeple.
Nothing good is going to come from this conflict. And that seems to be the plan.

And Zelensky probably did not run on a platform featuring being a Jew. He won because he was a huge celebrity on Ukraine television.

I have been reading about the Nazi battalions in Ukraine, even in the mainstream press, like the NY Times and the Wall Street Journal, ever since Yanukovych was overthrown in 2014. But nowadays, there is a very pronounced effort to cover it up.
A couple of years ago, the EU pronounced the Svoboda party to be a neo-Nazi organization, incompatible with European values.
They appear to have a very small percentage of political support among voters, but nevertheless have been given influential positions throughout the government.
So that’s who got the helmets Germany sent.
He made peace with them a month after the elections, even though to get rid of them was his election promise. Now it takes Russia to do it for him.
Various flavors of national socialist parties exist in Russia too
