There’s nothing in US law that says that it must be a speech. It can be a written letter. I agree with you. A live address to Congress is political theatre with no real value these days. It is merely an opportunity for Democrats to disrespect a worthy Republican President, or heap undeserved praises on a Democrat President.

If he truly needs lots of drugs or chelation, I would bet he has a port put in on his chest. I think all the trips to Delaware are about medical care. Visitors to his house in Delaware don’t have to log in like at the White House.
