I gave $100 to Bush 43 for the Florida recount. Some bozo gave $10k to Gore and ran as a republican in a Calif. statewide office. Name’s not worth remembering.

Maybe I don’t communicate well. It’s not “party first.”

If a person runs as a Republican candidate, officially, with the Republican name on the ballot, they need to be endorsed/allowed by the Republican party.

Republicans own the name, the trademark if you will. If otherwise, the local head of the KKK could run as an official Republican candidate. So could the village idiot. So could the most vile liberal in hope of splitting votes.

Similarly, I can’t run as the Democrat Candidate or the Libertarian candidate or the Peace and Freedom Candidate unless those parties officially endorse or allow it.

this isn’t “Party first.” It’s honesty. You can start your own “dadfly” party and if you do, it is up to you who might run as a dadfly candidate. No one can take your “dadfly” name and represent themselves as part of you unless they are endorsed or allowed.

ok FRiend. i say so what. yeah, both parties are corrupt to the core. that’s probably not news to anyone. years ago, i had a friend recruited as a candidate in the ca gop who had the dirt on a ca mayor who was a corrupt. he took it to the rep chair. he said oh no, we have to bury this.

he got dirt on cranston, too. took it to the gop at the highest level. had a meeting. oh no. they buried it, too. the stories can go on and on. they could have publicized all of this but the bosses hid it. they buried Chuck DeVore, probably the best candidate they ever had since RR. they put up shills meg and carly and spent boat loads on them.

that’s the problem with the gop, actually, it’s the problem with any party under our system. it’s a problem with humanity. too much secrecy and too much power corrupts people and the temptation is always there for people without humility. without Jesus as their Lord.

sunlight and distributed decision making is the way to go. but hey, nothing keeps a party from investigating and tagging any candidate running under it’s brand, or making a recommendation to it’s voters, why isn’t that enough. but really, that isn’t the problem with the gop, imo. the problem with the gop is the old “Spiritual wickedness in high places,” and the fact that people who gravitate to those positions can’t handle power. too many king makers with too much power, and not enough good and true precinct committee men. hopefully the warroom posse and rank and file republicans are making a run at that problem. but don’t think the corrupt party bosses of the gope aren’t going to push back. we are still waiting for the gope to do anything other than block efforts to correct the stolen election.

Well, he is in New Jersey, which is totally different. He would’ve left the democrats far earlier had he been an Alabamian.

If my uncle had boobies, he’d be my aunt.
