With Muslim shooters, there is always puzzlement about what the motive could be. No one ever has any idea what could cause a Muslim to perpetrate violence.
The GUN isn’t illegal, the USE of it in this case, was.
The 50rd magazine was illegal in New York State. It isn’t a permanent part of the firearm, being interchangeable with other magazines with less capacity that are legal in New York State.

My guns going rogue are directly proportional to the robberies in my neighborhood. Most guns are properly trained not to go off half-cocked in the hands of their legal owners. But let some guy break in and take possession of a perfectly trained and legal gun and it starts hanging around the wrong crowd and becomes illegal. If the police recover the gun and return it to their legal owner, the recidivism rate is very low.

I’m sure there are AT LEAST 100 million guns in the US that have peacefully resided in their gun cases for decades and never killed anybody. So, arguably, Ted Kennedy’s Oldsmobile has caused more human death than AT LEAST 100 million guns.

And this new governor and the progressive legislature just overrode the will of the people. The governor just signed a bill allowing unlimited absentee ballots even after the people of NYS voted against it in the last election. The reason is obvious. It so that they can massively cheat and so that the people cannot vote the governor or any of them out of office.
Governor Skeletor is closing six prisons in New York State come March. One of them is the maximum security prison Downstate. That facility has always been used as the process and classification center for all criminals sentenced to do time in New York State prisons. The Governor claims the closings are due to the prison population in the State declining. Well of course the prison population has declined because you and Cuomo released violent offenders early because of a virus. And you've also allowed repeat offenders to remain on the streets to continue their murder and mayhem, instead of locking them up. Apparently the Governor has no interest in protecting the lives of our law enforcement officers across the State, or the law-abiding citizens who reside here.
The criminal that shot two officers was out on probation when he likely needed to remain behind bars. Let him stay at Hochul's house.
