I loved Reagan but he accomplished no where near in 8 years what Trump accomplished in less than three years.
What no President since Reagan signed legislation granting amnesty has done, is enforce immigration laws. Fences won't matter one whit unless there is a penalty for crossing them and there isn't currently, in fact there is a pretty good reward for crossing and staying.
You can't know that is true but maybe it makes you feel slightly better about taking it, to make that claim. In fact you can't know that the so-called vaccine didn't give you the Covid and made you a carrier. I haven't taken any flu vaccine since the very first one made me and my wife both sick, we haven't taken one since and neither of us have had the flue or even a cold in nearly forty years.

I respect your right to your own opinion. And, we certainly agree there is much hype.
I have been in the technology (software) world for over 40 years. I know that any new software is going to have bugs that are not exposed until the program is launched. That’s the same reason many (myself included) don’t buy the first model of a car after a major change by the manufacturer.
The other area of my belief/view is that the government (and especially the federal government) is totally inept and that they lie to us every day. Not just little lies — but big lies. I’ll skip the examples for now due to time.
When I first heard of a new mRNA vaccine both of those factors raised my antenna. As time progressed the things we were being told turned out not to be true. Not just once but many, many times. That is what I expected and it happened!
As a cancer patient who spent much time researching treatments I quickly discovered that some of the most effective (and least intrusive) treatments were available as trials. Those trials take years to reach the point of being available to those in the public and even more years before they are approved for clinical use. Due to the extensive research and testing, they are normally relatively safe by the time they are given to humans Years — not months as in the new COVID treatments.
Then I look at the hard facts. And that is that some of the highest vaccinated countries in the world have the highest virus caseload. And then the huge elephant in the room is that today we have about 300,000 cases per day of the virus — which is the same as we had back in January BEFORE the vaccine was even rolled out. I understand that is due to the new variants but what is causing the new variants? If the developers were so smart why didn’t they expect varients and plan for them in their drugs? After all, that’s pretty much the way all viruses work.
Finally, apparently, I am not alone. While not a fan of RFK he seems to have hit a longball with his new book (The Real Anthony Fauci:...). It is #1 on Amazon and in the top 10 on NYT & WSJ. Somebody wants to learn more about this debacle as noted here on FR.

I wish you the best of luck — even though we have different views on this topic. We probably share more views than where we may disagree. That’s why we are both on FR.
I dunno, I think folks should be informed to make informed decisions, especially the elderly so that they can make a risk/benefit guided decision, where they are in a higher risk group, but I also,beleive they should be allowed the “right to try” and be Informed about alternative complimentary treatments like hcq, ivermectin, quercetin etc, plus be brought up to speed on all the current meds being used to treat covid
I do,think that if they do talk about it that they should cautio. That the science is evolving o. The issue, and it’s not an exact science, and there might be dangers- again so,that the folks can make informed intelligent decisions I stead of being swayed by those with vested interest in big pharma. Get ALL the current info out there without hiding whatever doesn’t fit the agenda.
I think it’s time to get the guns out.
If we lose the mid terms everything The Founders fought to create, everything our parents and grandparents generation, the many veteran FReepers who have served , all they sweat for, fought for and died for will be at an end.
Is this great nation going to be taken down by a cabal of progressive pygmies like AOC and her ‘’squad’’? A dementia addled, pants pooping ‘’president’’ and a empty headed, cackling slut?
