I have heard the same elsewhere, and looking at Demings background, yep, she's the typical poison we have come to expect the Marxist, er, 'Democrat' party to be running.

Yeah, doing a great job as a voice of moderation, Steph: no one’s ever heard of you and you and your fellow dogs fall right into line on every vote. Such a profile in courage you are

Never.
Maxine Waters’ district is over 85% minority. The California state government is gerrymander a district to keep her in Congress, and she will sue if they don’t (racism!).
She is 83 years old. I doubt she will ever resign.

I’ll raise you to 45-50. Even a few of the newly gerrymandered blue state districts will fall for a term or two to the GOP. Without gerrymandering, the Democrats would lose plenty more. They are so unpopular that they could be rivals to the lopsided 75th congress (1937-1939) when Republicans held only 89 seats.

I believe Republicans have a good shot at gaining 50 seats.

Newt got something like 46 I think in '94. I think the GOP needs to nationalize the election and make some significant promises to voters, like Newt did.

I agree. Get every candidate to sign on to some basic reforms. “This we will pass if elected...” Problem with that is you have a lot of wobblies running in heavily Democrat districts. They want to run as Casper Milquetoast RINO’s. If they grew a spine, it might draw conservative voters out of the woodwork, or set up conservatives for winning future elections. But they don’t see it that way.

Most of them won’t get elected.

Watch out for Val Demings. As a U.S. Congress Critter, she votes 100% in lockstep with Lesko Brandon and the black caucus. While she was Orlando Police Chief, her police issue firearm was stolen from her department vehicle parked at her home. Her tenure as Orlando Police Chief lasted 4 years. Meanwhile, Val’s husband was Sheriff of Orange Co. He is now the mayor. Val and Jerry are quite the Orlando/Orange County Dem power couple. She announced her candidacy for U.S. Senate in June.

Thank God! She is my representative. She beat John Mica who was terrific- he’d been in Congress for decades, a
They changed the district to include a lot of dems- I miss having an office I can call to vent!
