I had read the perp had been bullied…that being said I thought there were extensive anti bullying programs, expensive, government funded programs that were designed to end bullying…so what happened to those programs? Who’s responsible for their potential failure?
Yesterday during the Pontiac Police Chiefs briefing on the Oxford shooting, he was asked by a journo if new gun laws would have prevented this. He responded and it was lengthy, he said there are plenty of gun laws but the problem is that they are not used and if they are it usually reduced to a misdemeanor. He also said, the good people that have guns should not be punished because of people who legally should not have them. (Paraphrased).
The local high school had a rifle range in the basement in the 60s. The kids used to bring their rifles and ammo on the bus and into the school. No one ever shoot anyone. What has changed in America?

The Shooter was illegally carrying the weapon. And, he illegally brought it into a Gun Free Zone.
So, what other new laws will they pass for him to break?
A new gun law will do nothing. It merely gives the authorities permission to arrest someone for new reasons AFTER a crime is committed.
Anti-gun groups have been dancing in the blood of victims for the last 52 years.
