Get woke...go broke.
I will no longer donate.
It’s interesting as I have aged how simpler Christmas has become.
The statement, while about racism, does not appear to include all the
BLM/CRT crap alleged.
They are infiltrated, sure. If we eliminate every Christian organization
the moment there is an infiltration, instead of righting the ship, we end up
with zero Christian organizations.
That is not a policy that works in favor of Christianity.
What follows is the text from the Salvation Army Website in question:
~~~~~~~~
Our Belief
Racism is fundamentally incompatible with the Christian conviction that all people are made in the image of God and are equal in value. The Salvation Army believes that the world is enriched by a diversity of cultures and ethnicities. “There before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.” (Revelation 7:9)
Our Commitment
The Salvation Army is committed to combatting racism and its impacts at an organizational, individual, and societal level. This includes providing robust systems to report and discuss racism, continuing to make efforts to ensure ethnic diversity in leadership roles, and ultimately becoming a more welcoming, diverse organization that stands as a model for inclusion and non-discrimination.
Our Work
In providing its programs and services, The Salvation Army is committed to accommodating all those in need without unlawful discrimination or harassment based on age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, marital status, disability, citizenship, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or any other characteristic in accordance with our capacity to help.
Our Employment Practices
The Salvation Army is an Equal Opportunity Employer and committed to providing a respectful environment for all applicants and employees that is free from unlawful discrimination or harassment based on age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, marital status, disability, citizenship, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or any other characteristic protected by law. Such equal opportunity for employment will apply to recruitment and hiring, training, promotion, salaries and other compensation, transfers and layoffs or termination.
Our Acknowledgment
While many Salvationists have acted firmly and courageously against racism, The Salvation Army acknowledges with regret, that Salvationists have sometimes shared in the sins of racism and conformed to economic, organizational and social pressures that perpetuate racism. The Salvation Army is committed to fight against racism wherever it is experienced and will speak into societies around the world wherever we encounter it.
We take allegations of discrimination very seriously. If you are aware of a specific situation where a person has been the target of discrimination, please contact your Salvation Army leadership, because this is contrary to our mission to “preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.”
The Salvation Army Mission Statement
The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
I am instantly wary of any organization or business that makes it difficult to speak with a human being.
What!!! Their letter is sitting right here and I was going to send my annual donation. Can’t believe this. Got to check this out. I’ve always thought very well of them.
This has the faint smell of BS
Looks like some other charity will be getting their share from now on.
I always gave you them out of guilt. Now I’m allieved of that guilt.
No money nor white guilt from me…
When my family was evacuated from GITMO in 1962, the Salvation Army was there with warehouses of household items. They told us not to take what we needed, but to take everything we wanted.
When my uncles were fighting in Vietnam and their mother was dying, the Salvation Army stepped in. The Red Cross was useless.
So, I have made it a practice to give to the Salvation Army most of my life.
I usually make a very large cash deposit in to the red kettle. Never again.
Never heard of “Central Nova News”
S.A. Take me off your mailing list you leftist fools. If you support BLM, you support Marxists, rioters, and black racists. You’ve crossed over to the dark side. We remain on the bright, sane side, as does our money.
Similar experience. Red Cross SOLD the coffee to fire fighters. Salvation Army housed and helped an addicted relative. SA had low overhead costs and Red Cross was caught with extravagant overhead benefits.
Still hold out hope this isn’t true.
I wish it were not too. Unfortunately I just went on their website and a few minutes of clicking around confirms it.
Sad.
For anyone looking for a place to park their money, please remember that there is a Freepathon underway.
Cheers FRiends!
Is this for real?
I’m going to go out of my way to answer the bell with, “Sorry, I’m merely a racist white person, and I don’t want to taint the SA with my white traits.
MERRY CHRISTMAS! (ring, ring) “Sorry, I can’t donate today. I haven’t written my apology note.
The Salvation Army has the ability to instantly refute this on their Twit page, which they have not done.
At first I thought this might be a parody. Doesn’t look like it. Not one penny, ever again.
