I remember when Mayor Daley was Mayor in Chicago and there was going to be a riot. He made a public statement to the effect of I have instructed the police to shoot to mame or cripple any rioters and looters. Guess what, not a problem all night. If the leftists get their way we will be overrun by their BLM and ANTIFA paramilitary wings and also their ‘undocumented voters’. Democrats are also anything but consistent when it comes to thought. I saw an article proving they want to own both sides of every issue, “Kent State student government condemns state bill banning Critical Race Theory in schools”, and you can give that a look at CampusReform. We were JUST lectured during the Virginia Governor race that CRT doesn’t exist...after being lectured for years that CRT was going to be our new normal. It’s like watching a tennis match. What Dims are doing to America has a name and that is ‘terrorism’.
Even folks who don’t like guns have to be in favor of #2A now. Use that Rights before the communist democRATs take it away.
Courts all over the USA have ruled that police have NO obligation to protect you. YOU are your own first responder!

I think it was in Philadelphia, during the riots last year, the mobs in Port Richmond were spreading out of the commercial district, toward the residential areas. The police chief warned the crowds to not go in to the neighborhoods, “we won’t be able to protect you if you do.”
Businesses are very easy, homes, not so much.
They want to kill all that don’t pay them,

There are never any consequences for this bunch. The gov gives them a wink and a nod.
Every stinking one of them should be in jail for at least a year waiting for some kind of justice.
Let me add 2 cents.. facts here.
I raised 5 kids.. hubby had a job and my job was to keep the house still standing when he returned.
Today they are all adults, with children conservatives, respects their parents, attends church.
Just luck?.. no, I was home when my kids were home. They knew if I ever had to go to school for a problem, they had better tell me the truth or I would not defend them next time
I lived and did how I wanted them to live like
I was a disciplinarian and they had to do as I say or there would be a problem. I was on their side and they knew it even if.

It makes them worse. For crying out loud, dish out discipline. Evidently their parents didn’t. If my kid spray painted a car, thered be h to pay. They wouldn’t even think of doing that.
Roaming around looking for trouble is a lousy way to spend a day.

I don’t have any intentions of starting a war, but one 17-year-old kid fought off a mob and shot three antifa creeps.
I’m not sure it will be the normal people who are stacked up.

Of course what is “reasonable”? While I think shooting spray-painting vandals would certainly deter them, that probably wouldn't be considered reasonable by a jury.
Smashing windows? If it was a window in a car or house that I was in - sure. “They smashed my window and then approached the car/house. They had metal pipes and rocks - I figured this was the end for me.”

That is EXACTLY what the folks in my hometown in CA’s North State did when BLM came to town in August 2020. The approved march route was Main Street, which is lined with 19th-century three-story buildings… business owners and their friends sat - locked and loaded - atop those buildings. The city cops, who DON’T like troublemaking outsiders, gathered at the intersection at the end of the route. This created a boxed-in kill zone, should any of the “protesters” start trouble. It went quite peacefully.
RINO Governor Baker may be a RINO, but when there was a BLM rally in Boston, he activated 1,000 National Guardsmen. (Now this was the Air National Guard, not the 82nd Airborne.) They surrounded the rally on Beacon Hill, and peacefully observed. Anyone leaving the rally did so under their watchful eye. There was no rioting or looting or arrests. The mostly peaceful rally remained entirely peaceful. Interest in BLM “rallies” soon waned.
