See my tagline
Not sure of the effectiveness of Putin’s moralizing to Russia’s youth when he’s amassed one of the worlds largest fortunes all the while having a mistress with a love child on the side.
People too often confuse Republicans with conservatives. They are not the same thing at all. Not even close.
Republicans just play conservatives on TV.
If the GOP was conservative it would have long been fighting to reduce the size, power and scope of government. It does not, and never will do this.
Since many of the problems in this country can be traced directly back to an overbearing government, it stands to reason that shrinking it should be our #1 priority. I mean, if we cannot do that what chance will we ever have of restoring liberty and freedom?
The GOP is a fake party.
Putin is flawed and corrupt, but please name me an American President since Reagan who wasn’t a serial adulterer (Clinton and Trump in his hotel and television days), a member of an elite family well tied to the Deep State (Bush father and son), a man from a murky background who was deeply involved in the sabotage against the 2016 Trump campaign (Obama), or an extremely corrupt career politician “10% for the big guy” (Biden).
Tucker asked him point blank why our border was not being defended and he danced all around that one.
*****************
The GOP is OK with the border invasion. It provides a ready supply of cheap labor for their business pals.
The GOP dances around every issue that’s of concern to conservatives.
I don’t know if Ukraine is an ally or not, but the Russians’ move on Ukraine is unsettling countries like Poland, which is an ally now, and others. We should make sure they’re capable of resisting if it comes to that.
“Putin’s army invaded”
Right, We have our own problems!
I’m just stating the facts at hand. I don’t expect Putinist’s to like them.
Look, “Ukraine”, like “Yugoslavia”, is an amalgamation of unlike peoples crammed in together as a result of a war - WW I in the case of Yugoslavia, WW II in the case of Ukraine.
And like Yugoslavia, Ukraine will be a potential source of violence until it is broken up into its European (Western) part and Russian (Eastern) part.
Ukraine is actually far more homogenous than Russia. They don’t call Russia the “prison of nations” for nothing. IF you don’t believe me take a trip to some place like Bashkortostan or Chechnya in Russia.
LOL!
The unrest in Donbas and Lugansk started at the same time as Maidan in Kiev, except it was peaceful. They were against Maidan and coupsters that expelled the president they voted for by 90%.
Then Kiev bussed in a bunch of thugs with baseball bats, but the prorestors kicked them out.
Then the prorestors armed up and took for government buildings.
Independence wasn’t on menu at the time!
The talks between remained sane people in Kiev and protestors took place. All they wanted is cultural autonomy and a say on who their governor is.
What is wrong with these demands?
They weren’t met indeed and it was a calculated move by acting president Turchinov.
Donbas out is good for Kiev, because they wouldn’t vote for the sort of a-holes currently in charge in Kiev.
The troops were sent to the East on April 7, 2014 except the skirmishes were sporaidic because the troops refused to kill their own people. The vast majority surrendered their equipment to the protestors and deserted. That was how the militia started, not some mythical Russian forces nobody confirmed outside media chatter.
On May 12 Turchinov responded with the unrestricted aerial bombing which killed most of the people who died in conflict.
The rest is history.
The above timeline is easy find if you do the research.
