I get the whole ‘we should have stopped Hitler in Munich’ argument

"....they should never let him get away with that, they was just asking for trouble."

Did Stalin or did he not take Austrian Galicia and the Volhynia by force from Poland in 1945 and integrate them into the USSR?

Yes, of course those people want to rejoin Europe, I don’t blame them one bit, and if they negotiate a deal or fight Russia and win they can get what they want.

Other than that, it’s none of our concern.

And as far as protecting “democracy” - give me a call when Brennan, Comey, McCabe, Jarrett, Susan Rice and Obama are indicted.

If you travel by train in what is properly called Central Europe, and wear a blindfold until you are off the train, you can tell instantly if you are in the Old Empire or not.

Lemberg - Lwow is in. Kiev is in Russia.

There isn't really a clean break between nations in Eastern Europe as distinct as in Western Europe. Spain, Germany, France. Italy, and the U.K have distinct physical boundaries and a long history of independence. There are restive regions such as Catalonia and Scotland but both have been under the thumb of Madrid and London, respectively, for centuries. Germany and Italy have been independent for only 150 years, but certainly existed as linguistic and cultural countries for many centuries. On the other hand, the nations east of Germany and Italy have had constantly shifting boundaries and until 1918 were ruled by Moscow, Istanbul, Vienna, and Berlin. Ethnic groups often overlap, without the clean breaks that, say, the French have vs. their German neighbors, with Alsace being distinctly German but inside French borders.

Putin rules over far less land than the Tsars or the Communists did. Despite still being the largest country in land mass, Russia has about half our population and its GNP is tiny compared with ours. However, they don't have the massive moral decadence that America suffers from. Trump wasn't in power long enough to restore our military strength, and in any case, the Pentagon was part of the Deep State cabal that toppled him.

The U.S. has too many domestic problems to get involved in Russia's back yard. If Germany, Poland, and France want to get involved, more power to them.

Look, “Ukraine”, like “Yugoslavia”, is an amalgamation of unlike peoples crammed in together as a result of a war - WW I in the case of Yugoslavia, WW II in the case of Ukraine

Putin's invasion created a modern Ukrainian identity. A new generation of Ukrainians has been raised knowing Russia only as an hostile invading neighbor perpetuating an on going war with Ukraine.

"Instead of provoking the collapse of Ukrainian statehood, Russia’s 2014 invasion of Crimea and eastern Ukraine succeeded in galvanizing Ukrainian national identity in ways that few had previously imagined possible. Seven years on, a clear majority of Ukrainians now see Russia as the aggressor state in a war that has come to define the nation’s ongoing struggle for true independence."

“F Democracy.”

I haven’t gone that far - yet. But whenever you hear “protecting democracy” as applied to overseas adventures, or (lately) “our democracy” here, you know you are listening to a traitor.

The jig is up. Never again.

Russia only gave Crimea to the Ukrainian SSR in 1954 for heaven’s sake, and then only because Khrushchev had been sent by Stalin to govern that part of the USSR.

And 30 some years before that the Baltic states were part of Russia. Should the Putinist Russian empire get that territory back, too? I don’t think so. Acquiescing to Russia brazenly stealing Crimea is a slippery slope.

That’s not even getting into Stalin’s rape of Crimea. Etc., etc. History shows us that where Russia goes misery follows. We must be good students and learn from that history.

Naturally, people go where the work and money is. Poles used to come to the US to work during soviet times.

They still do, others are coming to Germany, that is why they need Ukrainians to start with. There used to be more jobs in Poland before EU made it into an agricultural appendix.

Tucker asked him point blank why our border was not being defended and he danced all around that one.

****************

Turner didn’t answer that question nor the other one Tucker asked him (why should we should send our kids to defend Ukraine?).

This is the kind of “leadership” we can expect when Repukes take the House back. There will be little reason to celebrate when these Deep State tools are back in power.

Russia has one of the highest alcoholic rates in the world and also the lowest church attendance even compared with Europe.

Russia's alcohol problems date to the Communist era, as does the level of non-church attendance. It takes a long time to overcome over 70 years of Communism. Look at Germany, for example. 30 years after the Berlin Wall fell, the former East Germany reports non-religious citizens as the largest group. Prior to 1945, this region was solidly Lutheran. The old West Germany still is split between Protestants in its north and Catholics in its south. Forty years of Communism pulled the East Germans away from their religious roots, and that effect carries on to this day.

Russia actively discourages the public display of sexual perversion. The group of feminazis who disrupted a church service a few years ago were sentenced to prison. This discouragement of perversion dates to the Soviet era. As can be seen in America and the other Western nations, the Left actively encourages promiscuity, homosexuality, pederasty, etc., as they represent means of taking the free nations down. The Left is also quite permissive of narcotics for the same reason. When in power, however, the Communists become hostile to perversion because they recognize the corrosive effects of immorality. Castro routinely imprisoned homosexuals. Mao executed drug dealers and in some cases, addicts.

Over a period of a century, leftists have come to dominate nearly all the institutions in our country, even the military and big business. If they turn the U.S. into a full blown totalitarian state, the Deep State or its Communist successor will start repressing the perverts and the drug addicts.
