No argument. Too bad politicians don’t understand where electricity comes from. To them, it’s unlimited, right out of the wall socket.
True... but I’m sure they will sell them, at a cost, making them prohibitively expensive of course! Think Apple/Tesla repair business models x100, they’ll own your wallet.
Des Moines to Denver is about ~670 miles. There are plenty of superchargers along the interstate to Denver. The longer range S model has a range of 375 miles with a 100% charge. That is with ideal conditions. Recharging to 80% provides 300 miles. So with ideal conditions 2 stops is possible(no speeding). Winter time driving, forget about it..
Agreed on all points. Business analyst Peter Drucker suggested that boyh government and business enterprises work bettee when they have one goal, The public school system was flawed but better when it focused on teaching reading, writing, arithmetic and civics. The Eisenhower highway system had substantially one goal and met it acceptably well. Even JFKs moon program met a difficult but very well defined goal, though it helped that money was no object.
Compare that to Iraq and Afghanistan or the modern social laboratories that the schools and military have become. I admire Musk for being focussed on what Tesla is supposed to be. I respect Bezos’ vision for the same. I don’t even hold it against Musk and Bezos that they took government help (BeZos in playing USPS for patsies in shipping rates and terms). They are using the a available tools for their business goals. It warps what it touches. Sometimes necessarily (eg businesses wiped out by new highway), but pervasive government diddling both warps and freezes good activity.
Go woke, go broke.
Toyota Tundra, proudly made in San Antonio, Texas. If you have the crew cab version of the Chevy Silverado it was made in Guanajuato, Mexico.
That is exactly why I ended up trading my crew cab Silverado, and bought a Toyota . It bothered me as a lifelong GM/Chevy owner that the bailed out over paid GM execs had to make it in Mexico. I was too naieve to realize that when I bought it. Much of American big business is not on our side.
