Actually from these hearings I think some of the senators are trying to tell us stuff from closed hearings. Quite a few have mentioned Miller, and his recommendation to both Presidents Trump and Biden. From the way the questions were asked it sounds like people in the upper echelons of the military were keeping stuff from the executive branch.

The senators may be telling us something but they need to do something about it. There is zero accountability in government because the entire system is corrupt IMHO.
Senators don’t like pulling on strings because they fear the “fabric” will unravel, and that could be bad for them and their friends. There’s so much corruption in the DC Swamp I don’t see how it ever gets fixed. Too many people have too much at stake to change it.
They put on shows but after the curtain closes its right back to the veil of secrecy that pervades Washington.
Because these 'Generals' are not capable of thinking two moves ahead...or because they don't give a damn - or because they get direct or indirect 'payoffs of some kind' from the Chinese... or Washington 'elites'...or someone. Who?
Irrational decisions were made. The question is 'why did those decisions look rational to the people involved' at the time... and what was the benefit in NOT seeing the obvious?

So keep in mind, given this timeline for just the first weekend, that Milley & Austin are desperately throwing Biden under the bus now, even though Austin had argued out loud to the MSM on the 18th that the US lacked enough firepower and manpower to leave the airport to retrieve our US citizens. So somebody is lying, but they aren't protecting Biden by falling on their own sword, no sir!
You're right. It means they knew the right path and didn't take it. Reminds me of Benghazi when the militarily was saying they didn't have time to get to Benghazi - I looked up flight schedules out of Tampa International - turned out folks at MacDill had time to book a commercial flight to Benghazi and get there in time to assist.
Once again corrupt democrats will be kissing butt and helping make excuses.
