That will not work in a world where electrical capacity is limited by political factors and renewable capacity. If so, we are in for a lot of power outages in 2050 and beyond. We do not have the kind of power storage technology needed to rely on solar power for 50% of our energy requirements. And we're not likely to have the technology needed by 2050, either.
