If no employer is willing to hire people at the price people want to be paid, then people won't get hired, they'll get paid 0,

So all of these small minded business greedy a$$hole can go out of business then because they REFUSE to hire? Because that's what you are saying. Hey those out of business mini tycoons can get real jobs. Learn to code? Will they sell their speed boats then?

If you are any indication of the type of small business owner we have then I hope they all go out of business and corporations take over all restaurant and retail. At least they understand the free market for labor and wages. A pox on all of you jerk offs.

You can't hire people that you can't afford to pay. The point of owning a business is to make money, not go bankrupt. But I'm guessing you don't know many small business owners, because most of them put in more hours and work than any of their employees. For the other guys, it's just a job. For the owner, it's their life. And not that many own a speedboat, although they are a lot more affordable than you'd think, especially if you're decent with basic small engine maintenance.

Ha with a big company, you are just a cog in the machine, and they have the purchasing power to make wages lower. Bigger corps do understand the labor market, and they drive market wages down, whereas small businesses tend to pay better. Small business owners actually know their employees as people, not just a section of a department of whatever.

Employers as a whole DRIVE market wages

Only in Communist countries. You are a wanna be Stalin. this is embarrassing. What happened to Free Republic? Why do losers like you post here????

Have you ever taken a basic economics class? Communist countries have the State controlling everything, including wages. There are no employers, the State is the employer.

If employers don't have anything to do with market wages, then why isn't everyone making a million dollars? An hour? What an employer can afford to pay is the absolute max they can set wages at. Any higher, they go out of business. They have to limit how high wages go so the business can actually turn a profit and grow.

So by "losers like me", do you mean people who've taken Econ 101? People who have common sense? People who know enough math to understand negative income is bad? Can you define that a little better?
