While it is POSSIBLE that there was “video” evidence of it, I am more inclined to believe that it would have been on film.

Pilots reported that UFOs buzzed their aircraft in World War 2. Ronald Reagan mentioned the possibility of an invasion from outer space in two different speeches. Douglas MacArthur mentioned a possible invasions from outer space in his final speech. Besides being national leaders, the other thing they had in common was they both had access to top secret government intelligence.
Smart people can believe dumb things too; for example, they might even believe that UFOs are alien spacecraft!
