When I was in grade school (70’s) all the fast food places hired High school kids, it was a temporary job, not meant to be a career, everyone understood this. it was “minimum wage” for a reason. Just a temporary job to learn how to work and make some money for those new stereo speakers or cassette deck. It was great if you knew someone working there because you could get free fries or drinks with your order. Now almost all fast food joints employ mexicans, except Popeyes.
