So, by your lights then, only two Senators have not surrendered and are not RINO’s?

I guess you get my point. It makes the Republican party sort of useless to damaging.

RE: Trump best stop trusting these guys. They did not stand with him.

Who else can he trust in Congress then?

It seems by your lights, He hardly has any allies anywhere.

Does Trump have a choice? The Senate is a tough nut to crack. Six-Year terms give them a lot of leverage.

The hope is, if you get a MAGA House, they can put pressure on the Senate.

I agree. I have nothing against him, just find it odd when he’s trotted out to boost weak arguments for supporting Tim Scott. As if he’s infallible and ends all arguments.

Wow! Very encouraging follow up. Delivered and articulated very well. Impressed.

What I mean is there some committee that picked him or is it his position in the party? Why not have Trump.

No one loves Trump more than I do, but to have had Trump respond to biden's first major speech would have been suicidal.

The folks that love him, can't love him more, those that are fence sitters would have gone away, and their is no hope of converting the haters.

What would have been gained?

“What would have been gained?”

Good point be it would have been nice to have a fighter in the ring.

What specifically was gained by putting Tim Scott front and center instead of our best rebuttal to Biden/Harris?

I don’t know if Trump was just being nice, he has to know how Scott really feels about him.

So, Trump may not know how Scott feels about him, BUT YOU DO?? You're really full of yourself and a constant bore.

GOP says all sorts-of groovy things when they have absolutely no power at all.
No one man can fix this.
The federal government must fall, it is a cancer.

Only thing I took away from Biden’s speech was all card carrying victims are going to see a lot of free stuff and old, rich, white men are going to pay for it.

Great list, to which I will add:

  1. My lip service to the middle class means mid-level apparatchiks in government, particularly government unions, not rural rednecks and white supremacists. Sort of like what the "Working Families" Part represents in New York.

  2. Any attempt to ensure that all votes are legitimate is "voter suppression." We have the right to protect our sinecures by creating and counting votes in secret.

I liked what Tim Scott said, as posted here, but this is a legit point:

Biden and his administration are illegitimate due to election fraud.

We literally do not have a country right now because of this. How is "making more laws" or "having more elections" (?!?) going to help?

Scott’s speech was indeed typical RINO pablum for Party consumption.

I can’t understand why the FOX newsies find it so earth-shattering.

It was mediocre, and if you dare say you didn’t like it, the FReeper
keyboard warriors will jump all over you.

“I get called “Uncle Tom” and the N-word — by ‘progressives’! By liberals! “

Great speech. His delivery on these statements made it sound like it was a surprise to be called those words by liberals.

No surprise here.

You get it!

He was chosen for the rebuttal because he is a RINO token.

“Scott’s speech was indeed typical RINO pablum for Party consumption.”

The speech was a party speech, in totality.

And all the right of center media comes out to praise it, just like good operators do. And their articles are designed to convince you that Republicans, and Tim Scott are good people who just want to get along with the vociferous Dims.

But in reality, they are toilet scum just as the Dims are.

Yep, same old BS as always. The GOPe are high-fiving each other and backslapping thinking they got rid of Trumpism.
