I was there in ‘02 after 5th Group decimated the Taliban and Al Qaeda.
Afghanis were afraid to come out of their homes for crying out loud.
But at the same time, the Chinese could potentially be picking a fight they may not want. ISIS and Al Qaeda are all over Africa, as are the Chinese. Muslims of the world unite and they’re up sh*ts creek.
Plus, a lot of countries are beginning to come to terms with the Chinese debt traps and they ain’t having it.
Remember when Bush had that guy Karzai at his SOTU? He actually seemed to think he could graft parliamentary democracy onto hostile Islamic stems. Got played of course, like the Russians and the Brits before them.

Maybe by North Korea standards it was “fair”, but for months he was vilified in the media, the mayor declared him guilty, mad max was there a few days ago telling the hood rats to riot if the “correct” verdict wasn’t passed down.
