That’s what I’ve heard. Too bad.
I'm sure that the execs running Sears & Roebuck laughed when Amazon popped up on the Internet to sell books back in the 1990s and then quickly expanded into other categories.
But maybe being bigger than Amazon isn't the point here.
There are upwards of 80 million MAGA supporters in this country that are itching to spend their money elsewhere other than Amazon and other "woke" companies.
I now search other websites to get product shipped to me other than Amazon. So far, I've had a pretty good experience overall. There is room on the Internet for other players. Not everything has to be ordered through Amazon.
Problem is, Chippewas and Carhartts last so long there’s not a lot of year over year business to be had. But I will support in whatever was is possible.
The advantage would be that lots of people (like me and people I know) don't want to put their financial information into 50 sites... so I shop Amazon for almost all my online buying.
But the biggest problem with Amazon is they don't have professional buyers who make sure quality if 'of a standard'... so half the time getting something on Amazon is like buying at a sleazy flea market. So many of the comments are fake they're no help... The My Pillow guy - Mike Lindell - could go from zero to 60 in ten seconds. Big stores would know they could get a hundred percent of nothing or 95% of their usual profit IF it went through Mike Lindell's site.
I would switch in a second.
Home Depot would have a 'store' so would Neiman Marcus...places that don't want to offer junk because they're name's on the 'store'...
