Even as a temp Trump wouldn’t be so good.
He is better at extemporaneous speech than written, but still, doing a good talk for 3 hours? Nope. And he does a lot of repetition and redundancy, even in his better spontaneous manner. Along with simple wording. “Doing a great job. Doing a great job. A great job. Great.” Ain’t gonna cut it.
I couldn’t agree more. I liked hearing Rush’s voice for a few days but now it’s time to move on.
I’ve stopped listening, and won’t again until a permanent host is assigned and the show moves on.
Todd Herman. Again. How good a job has this guy done moving Seattle toward conservatism?
He says his relationship was a personal one with Rush, not with EIB or the Premier Radio Network.
If you want to hear his complete commentary about his reasons for not continuing on as a guest host, you can follow this link to his March 11th "Clubland Q&A" show.. Jump ahead to the 37 minute mark for the beginning of that discussion.
I now know that I can quit recording the program. The only reason I continued doing so after Rush's passing was in hopes of catching Mark Steyn guesting, but the new format with the half-ass cast of lightweight hosts splicing together bits of Rush's monologues leaves me cold
At least Steyn has his twice-weekly "The Mark Steyn Show" podcast on Steynonline.com for me to get my fix.
I loved Rush.
I listened to him from when he first came on WABC radio in New York, one month before his show was syndicated to affiliates.
I attended “Dan’s Bake Sale” in Fort Collins, CO.
My office became an unofficial Rush Room.
That being said, it’s time to let Rush go and let him truly rest in peace.
