If-as some BLM member claim-looting is reparations, then wouldn’t 155 years of black crime more than suffice to pay off any debt incurred by slavery? The lowest estimate of the annual cost of crime in the United States is $690 Billion and blacks account for 37.6% of all robberies and burglaries so if BLM is to be taken seriously, then reparations to blacks are being paid at an annual rate of $259.4 billion.

Apart from reparations, they owe us royalties for using inventions that exist due to western civilization – iPods, computers, automobiles, basic sanitation, hospitals and modern medicine in general, Rule of Law, the concept of “human rights,” abundant food and so forth. By this calculation, blacks owe whites a lot.

Using a rounded “Black Only” (i.e., racially 100% black; excludes mixed race) population of 44 million and a payout amount of $250 k/person, the amount to implement the doctors’ proposal is $11 trillion, about half the annual GDP of the United States.

The amount required would be less if the payout is capped at $850k per household which is equal to 3.4 persons.

The amount required goes up if the 4 million plus Americans claiming partial black ancestry are included.

To benchmark the amount, $250k is the equivalent of about 4.8 years of the average annual full time salary.
