Yeah, they have been in Syria a long time. Even remaining after Trump ordered them to leave. This was a middle pentagon finger to President Trump.

The military has clearly showed it has nothing but contempt for America and loves globalism and the deep state.

Assad is a good guy if you compare him to every other leader in the Middle East.

Maybe it didn't happen at all.......consider the source:

A large US military convoy entered northeastern Syria on Thursday, Syrian state news agency SANA reports, citing sources on the ground.

That is possible, considering the source.

I could find out but have not yet.

The issue of source is not with Conservative Treehouse. It is with SANA.

CTH is informed and usually accurate.

Hammas is NOT. He supports them and he is in bed with Iran.

But I suppose the US is now in bed with Iran again too, since Joebama has been sworn in(at).

Do what was done on January 6 only bigger. ‘’...that when ever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends it is the Right of the People to alter it or abolish it and institute new Government;laying it's foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness''. Either these words have meaning, and license , or the Republic is lost.

Well we agree on that point. I try to be honest and accurate, that is very difficult when you look at the region we talk about. But the US is not much better for a long time too.

The Truth is a hidden Jewel in DC. Most of it is piles of rubbish and horse manure.

Moving and exchanging troops and equipment between northeastern Syria and Iraq is an ongoing, repeated process. It is defending the Kurdish held area of northeastern Syria which also holds oil resources which are helping fund the defenses of the Kurds.

Thank you my friend. I know that a certain amount of that has been going on silently behind the scenes in Deir Ezzor for a long time. That was the major pocket of US presence that was left. So I admit it could be just fake news. There is lots of disinformation in the US right now.

I had heard that Assad and the Kurds were cooperating more. Neither side trusts the other though, probably never will. It is the Middle East.

Just a regular supply convoy. Amazed that people try to make anything of this LOL!

In real news, Brett McGurk is back as envoy to the Kurds!
Good news for the Kurds, but maybe he’s too pro-Kurd and will get us into trouble.
Biden will get us into trouble anyway.

Iran is no worse than the Saudis. The fact remains, under Assad, a woman could drive her own can to Latakia beach, dance to music, drink Syrian made wine, marry or divorce as she decided. She could have Christian or a Jewish friend ( from one of the 2 remaining synagogues in Damascus)
None of it needed a man’s permission.

The Saudis and Gulf states and State and CIA decided to make Assad the new Hitler so they could install a wahabbist Sunni Saudi friendly government. And the biggest draw of Iranians into Syria was a Sunni isis attempt to conquer the country.

But in any case, it’s nothing to do with America.

Brett McGurk will always get in trouble. It is built in his DNA.

Yes, he has been an advocate for the Kurds. But the Kurds vary a lot between countries they are in. N. Syrian Kurds know McGurk for what he is. McGurk really dropped his thing in the dirt in Iraq. That will follow him a long long time.

And then there is the issue of Kirkuk. That was another unforgivable bad move on his part.

Directly? True. Indirectly not so true. Our "allies" in the ME are not easy to define. Our loyalties in the ME are even more complex.

They key will be if Biden’s people (not Biden, he knows nothing) will do as Trump has done - keeping a status quo that includes two things (a) some autonomy for Kurds in northeastern Syria, and (b) some U.S. presence in achieving (a), which means both of those things keep Kurdish and U.S. interests that must be considered by Assad, Russia and Turkey in regards to any permanent “solutions” in Syria.

Only moves beyond that status quo, implying more Kurdish and/or U.S. interest, would imply “regime change” moves. That is the change in conditions that has to be watched for. Independent movement of military resources alone cannot tell us that. Let’s just keep watching and reserve opinion on any motives about what is going on for now.

Cool story bro. But America helping Kurds grab away a part of Syria in our ongoing effort to depose Assad isn’t an interest of America. There isn’t a single legal basis for us to be there. No declaration of war. No UN authorization. Nothing. It’s just an illegal invasion.

Also there’s a concept that when you play with a turd, you get crap on your fingers. When we have a war with a country, they flood into America right after. That’s how we got all the skinnies from Mogadishu, Iraqis everywhere, Afghans, you name it. We don’t need Syrians too.
