I don’t know about that. There are a lot of pissed off Senators right now and a pissed off vice President. This discussion board might like to hack them up but they have a lot of power right now and Trump really had none left.

I believe at this point the threat of impeachment is being pushed to make sure he behaves himself until 20 January. I do agree there is a feeding frenzy, but everyday new information is coming out about ANTIFA and BLMs involvement. They need to get this done fast before the narrative changes. They know the Senate will never take it up and it will die when the new Senate convenes. They could try to go after Trump after he has left office with impeachment, according to MSM, but they would still have to peel off 15 RINOS and they know that will still be GOP suicide. So it is a lot of threats and no substance. I already told my GOP RINOS House and Senate critters, a vote to impeach Trump by one GOP Senator means I sit out 2022 and possibly 2024. I will encourage others to do the same across the State.

This is absolutely third world stuff. Biden and Harris are going full totalitarian and they have not been sworn in as of yet. The domestic terrorism act will pass in some form, but watered down because Senate is still 50/50. If Harris has to be the deciding vote to send Federal troops and law enforcement after American citizens for expressing opinions, that could end badly for them. Everyone needs to calm down but the RATS won't.
