The Florida Guard is about 10,000 troops.
NG units supply about half of the US Army’s field strength.
Gov. DeSantis could easily call up ten times that number of militia volunteers from the state counties.
The regular military is a pipsqueak compared to the available numbers of state militia and can be raised overnight.
