In Bush v. Gore, there was a challenge on Ohio’s electors. It was taken up, debated, and voted on. The objection was rejected.
Same will happen in this election. Congress will endorse the cheater, because Congress is a cheaters club.
McConnell is doing the usual schtick, minimizing the amount of visible action that causes the public to question the honor of the Congress and the government as a whole.
Rumor has it the GA election sham is already settled. Loeffler wins, Perdue loses.
At bottom that is a sham too. Conservatives are a minute fraction of judges. The ones that talk a good game don't do much with their power.
I point to Scalia's opinion in Heller. This is where he promulgated law that unconstitutional government action, owning a post 1968 automatic small arm is a felony, becomes constitutional when it is long-standing.
Courts are what penned up Flynn even after the corrupt DOJ decided to "let him off."
The only reason McConnell advanced judges is that he knew that branch was already in the can, and if not, easy enough to let the DEMs pack it. All he has to do is pretend fight and let the communists take control of Congress.
He is not a fighter, but he is a big winner in the corruption game.
Are they paying you a lot to spew this garbage?
Reality:
“President Trump's nominations to the federal courts have flipped three circuits making them majority Republican-appointed, lowered the age of GOP-appointed judges by 14 years, and reshaped the judiciary for decades to come, according to a series of new reports.
When Trump took office in January 2017, only four of the 13 U.S. appeals courts had a majority of Republican-appointed judges. Today, seven of the 13 appeals courts do.
This year alone, the Second, Third and 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals have flipped from majority Democratic-nominated to majority Republican-nominated, according to Law.com. “
And that was way back in 2019. Even the 9th Crcuit has been massively changed by Trump.
The courts include many very corrupt judges. Everyone with any familiarity with the judiciary knows this. Yes you can still find honest judges who respect citizen liberties and the constitution. But not often and the federal courts can be worse than many local state / county courts
I do it for free. In the FWIW department, you have been on my twit list for years, so if I don't take your bait, it's a conscious decision on my part.
“Mitch wants to ditch Trump. Plain as the driven snow.”
Of course. PDJT is messing with his Chinese ill-gotten gains laundered through Elaine’s family. Totally disgusting.
“if 80,000,000 Patriots show up in DC on Jan 6”
I haven’t heard of any kind of rally or demonstration in the works for that, but it’s a pretty good idea.
I don’t buy the fallacy that “Republican judges” are upstanding.
Granted, I’m not perfect at fact checking, but what you offered (many judges nominated, confirmed and appointed by person in GOP), while true, is also meaningless pap.
Like “I’m an honest poster, because my handle is SmokingJoe.” Half true, your handle is what it is, but it doesn’t determine the validity of what you say.
I notice you offered no rebuttal to my comment about Scalia’s Heller opinion.
His “win” as President Elect
Thank you for the explanation. However, I did not know the State Governors had the final say if either House or Senate disagrees. I thought it went to 50 State legislatures with the 1 vote per State. Seems I’ve been wrong.
The Constitution does not provide a solution to a disagreement in the Congress.
This was the cause of the Hayes-Tilden crisis in 1876, and was the cause of passing the Electoral Count Act (1887), which specifies the role of the State governors.
I know! Let's talk physics! Got a string that reaches from the original basketball to the end of the Universe? Or got dark matter I can view? Oh right, it's not visible. Maybe if I get my magnifying glass and look in the darkest recesses of my mind in a mirror, maybe my iris will focus on it. Yeah, I'm babbling...what else to so while awaiting the commie revolution and craziness forthcoming?
Last thought to always remember: No matter where you go, there you are!
