No elected Republican was made to FEAR Trump. Good politicians make them fear while smiling. But make no mistake.
The only think that motivates a swamp rat, elected or bureaucrat, to move an inch or lift an ounce is raw, naked fear of having to join the Dreaded Private Sector.
This Donald Trump never accomplished.
If, when Sally Yates refused the "no Muslims" order on January 21, 2017 Trump had fired the top 50 officials in the Justice Department, and Comey, McCabe, and all their friends, we would be living in a different world.
I don't know if he lacked the understanding, or lacked the nerve. But he failed to execute the most important responsibility of his job - "Oderint, dum metuant" (Let them hate, as long as they fear), and now we have to live with the result.

I think most of these guys only care about getting re-elected. They don't actually want to lead or pass any legislation, or do anything for the country. They just want to be part of the club.
I actually think the best job in Washington is to be a Senator for the minority party. You don't have to do anything except collect a fat paycheck for six years. Once in a while, draft some legislation that will never get passed and complain about the party in charge (but in truth, you're all friends and you all hang out with each other).
Eat at the finest restaurants in town and work on your graft game. Get really, really rich.
That's why none of these people liked Trump. He was mucking up the system. He didn't belong there.
How about we make sure that in six years the only republicans left will be McConnell, Cornyn, Graham and Sasse at the end of their final term.
A new third party will have been started by then but it will take longer that six years to overcome the damage done by those scumbags.

His “judge choices” aren’t working out all that well either....and that was his one claim to fame and acceptance.
The republican party is jealous that it lost its big multinational corporate donors and blames Trump. They never truly cared about people, they were just interested in buying/ their votes. Time for a new party.

As if the RATS, after defrauding their way into taking back the House in 2018 with help from Paul Ryan and then massively defrauding their way into the Presidency in 2020, will suddenly retire the defrauding machine for 2022 and have fair elections again.
