Call a convention of states first. Form an amendment that allows secession on a county by county basis. Move your sorry a$$ to red state and stop with the complications.

I agree but I get flak for criticising legal immigration.
Should just have a total immigration moratorium followed by a reversion to the 1924 act limitations in say 50 years.

State by state peaceful secession anything else will potentially start a needless war.

Yep
Southern and southern thinking conservatives here have been right on
Immigration
BLM
the Bushes
Trump
Race baiting and virtue signaling over race
It’s a fairly long list
Why?
Because we’ve been culturally conservative since before 1776
It’s not always pretty but we usually don’t fall for the new shiner object
And we know race
Boy howdy do we
But that never stopped yankees who only knew race from Harper’s Weeky or their car window as they breezed over the Major Deegan from lecturing us how to do it from the province of the well meaning ignorant
Do Yankees ever bother to look at the 1964 electoral map
I’ll take a Helms or Stennis or Eastlamd or Thurmond over a Sasse or Romney or Lee or Cronyn any day of the week

Majority of the grain and wheat production, majority of the oil, gas and coal production. Control of the inter river systems. Control of the transit systems across this part of the nation. ALL ESSENTIAL COMMODITIES would be controlled.
ADM (Chicago), Bunge (St. Louis), and Cargill (Minnetonka, MN) are the world’s three biggest grain companies. ExxonMobil (Irving, TX), Royal Dutch Shell (Netherlands), Chevron (San Ramon, CA) are the biggest energy companies. Union Pacific (Omaha), BNSF (Ft. Worth), and CSX (Jacksonville, FL) are the three biggest railroads.
How would you propose that this new nation—let’s just call it the CSA for now—control the business of these private companies? Would it “nationalize” them, like Hugo Chavez did with companies in Venezuela? Billions of taxpayer dollars went to Midwest farmers in subsidies in the past couple of years, and billions of taxpayer dollars went to Florida, Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, and North and South Carolina for hurricane disaster relief in the past couple of years. A whole lot of that money came from states that would not be a part of the CSA. Do you think the citizens of this new nation would be okay without all these bailouts and FEMA trailers?
The original CSA also thought it had the United States over a barrel—or a bushel—because it controlled so many ESSENTIAL COMMODITIES. Perhaps they would be right this time, but on the other hand a whole lot of anti-Washington conservatives would howl if the gummint teat suddenly went dry.

Need a new (would be the) 3rd Continental Congress.
2 representatives from each RED county of a state, meet in a state convention. There, that assembly picks 2 representatives for the state, to go to the 3rd Continental Congress.
The 3rd Continental Congress forms the new ship of state, of the new uniting states.
Same/similar process that led to the forming of the 1st Continental Congress.

Perhaps work on the ills in the local community/State you reside in instead of going on a fools errand.
Also lean on G-D more, current Federal government has way too many problems to handle, basically FUBAR.

I can see the biggest hindrance to a peaceful state secession is going to come from the tory right and not the left. I find that sickening,

Not that much would change except corrupt DC would no longer be allowed to control them. It would be a very exciting opportunity for some of the old USA to be free again!!!

Secession is going mainstream and there is nothing you so called “cuckservative” Tories are going to do to stop it. It is picking up speed.

Each state votes to leave the union. It is not hard even for a rock brained cowboy to figure out.

I just can’t picture anything like succession happening while we have societal conditions like the poorest being the most likely to be obese. I think probably our advanced application of bread and circuses is too effective, at least so far.

The CSA would be a new federal govt. It would not be a fascist govt in bed with corporations. That is the problem we are trying to resolve. SHeesh the stupidity here reigns supreme....

A lot of good points aired in this conversation tonight, but I do have to say that in my lifetime (and it’s lengthy) President Trump is the only president to even publicly push for “states rights,” and I admire him for that and much more!
