Once again Carl Bernstein is lying. There has been nothing whatsoever “private” about the contempt with which Donald J Trump has been treated by his own party.

If the Republican establishment had been solidly backing our president this fraud election would have been sorted out in a day or two. All it would have taken would have been for a unified Republican party to announce that unless thorough audits of irregular swing state votes were counted, the party controlled legislators in those states would choose electors directly. Instead we’ve gotten to watch the weasels who gleefully fundraised off of Trump and rode his coat-tails to victory stab him in the back.
