“Do you really believe that 5% of the country changed their minds on whether they approved of President Trump in the past 2 weeks?
Come on man.”
Well, several weeks ago he was at 53% (Tasmussen) on a Friday and on the following Monday he was down to 46%.
So?
I have no problem with Trump being grilled by a hostile moderator; he can handle it and hell come out looking better than the moderator. What they really should do is have co-moderators, one selected by each campaign. The moderator selected by Trumps campaign questions Biden and vice-versa. Bidens moderator has his/her mic muted while Biden is being questioned and during his response and likewise with Trumps moderator during Trumps responses.
You find out nothing about a candidate when all they get are softball questions with no follow up. If you had someone like Hannity or Limbaugh questioning Biden, hed be exposed. Trump is used to the hostile treatment; he would come out just fine.
Excellent perspective.
Co-moderators would be a perfect solution.
This isn’t anything. Every reporter worth their salt goes over the topic of the impending conversation with their guest. It makes for better TV. This isn’t a situation in which a reporter would go for a ‘gotcha’ type question anyway. Move along.
He needs to bring it up during his 2 minute answer time.
